Just a few testimonials from  some of Miss Di's colleagues, clients and dancers...

Jean Marc Genereux

"Diana has changed so many lives and is determined to empower women."

I know Diana very well. She's edgy, she's passionate, a great business women but one of the most important qualities she has is that she's sensitive...and when you are sensitive and genuine you get to people and you know how to listen too so you can truly help. I have seen her in so many capacities! Student, Teacher, Dancesport Competitor, Studio Owner, Competition Organizer, National Judge, Mother and a leader in the dancing business! She has changed so many lives and is determined to empower women.

Jean Marc was Diana's coach and appears on Dancing With the Stars France, SYTYCD and Revolution.

"Her generosity reveals itself as she continues to give, share and support all those who are fortunate enough to cross her her path."

Diana is a woman of inspiration and generosity, 2 qualities I seek with anyone I associate with in my own life. She's inspiring for the fact that she absorbs life with all it's pleasures and pains then turns those "lemons into lemonade". Her desire to not only find "the good" but then create "MORE good" is truly an example of her creativity and power. We women of dance are quite lucky since we share a common joy close to Diana's heart. Her projects are fun, sassy, and offer us a place of "Sisterhood". I'm so proud to call her my friend.

Nadia Eftedal is an internationally recognized champion-level dancer and Adjudicator with an exceptional portfolio of awards and titles. Nadia was Miss Di's Coach... the one that connected all the dots for her transformative experience.

"Thanks to Di at the very young age of 66 I feel like an amazing dancer!"

To release the stress of raising my twin sons as a single mom I started Ballroom dancing, and it became my passion. In 2015, I had an accident and crushed  the bones in my right arm, I was told that I would never dance again. In 2016 I left a message for Miss Di asking to try Burlesque, she was as excited as I was! After the first class I took from Miss Di, I knew I made the right decision! I loved it!

Diana is encouraging, understanding, and able to communicate well with all levels of dancers, at times by using examples from our daily life experiences. while putting us at ease and assuring us we can do it! My progress has been amazing. Thanks to Di’s encouragement, the specialist's prediction of me never dancing again certainly didn't come true! And during this never-ending pandemic, Miss Di’s zoom classes saved my sanity!  No matter what level of a dancer you are, or what kind of handicapped you may have, once you become a student of Miss Di’s you will have an exhilarating experience!

This is a safe environment where women blossom. No judgment; full acceptance.

I started dancing with Miss Di fifteen years ago and she was the start of a reformation in my life. From that of a “normal” person to a person who can dance! Did I mention that I was in my mid-forties at the time? Di’s burlesque classes are lively, engaging and fun. She drips creativity and her choreographies are unique and tasteful. I danced with Di for several years before venturing on to competitive Latin Ballroom. Miss Di continued to remain a constant as a Coach and a mentor.

And then, COVID turned everything upside down. I was so grateful that she had Zoom classes! It was so much fun and I needed that camaraderie that comes with women being together. By the end of the session, we were dancing routines that we would otherwise never believe we could do, and as a team! Dancing with a great group of women to music is more motivating than working out at the gym. You not only learn real dance skills, but you get in shape without even realizing it, and best of all you become part of the “Womanhood” right away. Miss Di started burlesque because she believes every woman is beautiful and she's made it her mission to show them how to be comfortable within their own body.

"Miss Di provided me a platform where I could express my inner Goddess."

“When asked to write a testimonial, I sat staring at this blank page for a few hours, wondering what to say, how to share my amazing and remarkable 13 years of experience with Miss Di. So many memories came flooding back - from my first class and how shy I was - to still being able to dance online because we could not be in the studio and in person. Dance has become a part of who I am. I initially was motivated to dance because of the exercise that my body so dearly needed but it turns out it became a big part of my world! Miss Di provided me a platform where I could express my inner Goddess.  She always encouraged me to take risks and challenge myself because she believed in me unconditionally.

In our new world and reality, Miss Di has shown the way to provide dance in different ways and to reach women around the world.  In Miss Di's presence, you will learn, be inspired, get fit, and find your inner Goddess."

"Since my first step onto the dance floor, my life has become more colourful and exciting!"

When I turned 50 I decided to try something new, and for me that was dance. I had NO idea that when I signed up for my first class that I would still be dancing 10 + years later! Miss Di  was my first instructor, she taught with humour and created a joyful atmosphere without judgement.

More than the thrill of learning dance steps, Di, through her brand of teaching, has instilled in me that the most important attribute a dancer can have is confidence. And confidence is Sexy! Confidence not only on the dance floor but in my everyday life. Since my first step onto the dance floor, my life has become more colourful and exciting. Thank you Miss Di!

"I became confident and learned to love my body, which was so much of what I needed even though I didn't know I needed it."

When I first started dancing burlesque with Miss Di it was on the heels of a grueling year of cancer treatment. I had lost who I was, the person I saw staring back at me in the mirror wasn't me. I am forever grateful for the classes that I took during that time as they helped me identify who I was now, and tap into who I used to be. Through dancing I became confident and learned to love my body, which was so much of what I needed even though I didn't know I needed it. I’ve taken online classes from Miss Di since June 2020. Being a busy mom of 3 kids, I appreciate the opportunity to take classes from home, and I love the fact that I always walk away feeling like a dancer!

"Miss Di has taught us all to dance with abandonment with joy in ours souls."

Many people come and go in our lives… but once in a blue moon someone blazes into your life, touches your soul and turns you into a different person. Diana Lefebrve did that for me. I met Diana at a low point in my life when I was going through a separation and divorce. I had no confidence in myself and doubted almost everything I did. I decided that something had to change, and it was time I did something just for myself; something that I had thought of for a long time, but never had the courage to do... Dance. That was over a decade ago. Now, not only do I dance, but dance in public, perform and even compete! Never dreamed that I could do that.

Diana has been a mentor and inspiration, not only as a dance teacher, but as a confidant and a friend. She also made me a part of a community of wonderful, supportive people – my Tribe – who have encouraged me to push on, and push through in all my endeavours. Thanks to Diana, I have found my confidence and pride in myself. She makes me see and appreciate what I have and can achieve, but most of all, I found me. I will always be grateful to Diana for starting me on my journey to be the person I am today.

"Miss Di has helped me dig deep and find the extroverted Warrior Wonder Woman performer inside of me! What a Blast!"

I have had the absolute privilege of being coached by Diana my entire 14 year pro-am Ballroom dance career. Diana’s influence began with me questioning “how can I be a better dancer and performer when I’m competing”. Diana is a technical wizard, whether it's just learning the basics or really digging into the smallest detail, she has the patience and determination to tailor her instruction to your ability.

As a true introvert, Miss Di has helped me discover my story-telling and performance skills. I call that “Di-ification”.  Sometimes it can be as simple as helping you visualize how a certain step, dance or character should feel... Other times it means pulling you kicking, screaming, scratching and clawing your way out of your comfort zone and helping you unleash the confidence you didn’t know you had. Her approach isn’t “one size fits all”.  Her sensitivity to really understand her student makes a huge impact in trusting her with your journey.

Diana taught me some of the most important foundations of Latin Dancesport. The principles of partnership connection as well as learning how to unleash my inner fearless performer, are treasures I use to this day. Thank You Miss Di! (photo credit: jontaylorohoto).

I have personally known Diana for many years in the Ballroom community where she is a highly respected dancer, teacher and judge. I have always admired how much she wanted to empower woman through dance. From ballroom to burlesque, she is a lady of many talents. Every time I am around her, I can feel how easy it is to communicate with her. I find her very inspiring because she has constantly shown much strength on and off the dance floor by regularly finding new ways to better herself and the people around her. You can only benefit from Diana’s presence in your life.

"For someone who has struggled with self-image and self-esteem, it's incredible!"

My journey with Di started about 10 years ago. Even though I had little dance experience, I got the courage to try it myself. I found a world that focused on sisterhood, positive self-esteem, joy, and expression.  The classes and community helped with both my depression and anxiety in addition to giving me a new outlet for creativity and a brand new passion. My favorite thing about the online academy is how adaptable Di is in her choreography and teaching. Di helps you through everything and offers variations in choreography so everyone can be successful. No matter your age, body type, or ability; there is a space for you!

"Diana was a pillar in my artistic development."

Miss Di inspired me to keep learning, growing and creating. Besides all off the technique, she helped me see the strength in my being, she taught name about my sensuality and instilled confidence with every move I made. Miss Di goes beyond her responsibilities as a coach and cares for each individual deeply. She came into my life when I needed her most and has been there for me emotionally, physically and mentally. I am so grateful as I am now a professional dancer, coach and choreographer.

"As cliché as it sounds, I hadn’t had that much fun with my clothes on in a long time!"

In my 20s & 30s I was actively involved in Country Dance. After moving to Northern BC in 2012 I had very limited options for dance classes. Life became more complicated and stressful after adopting two children, one with a brain-based disability. I was looking for a stress reducing activity that left me feeling uplifted, like when I used to dance.

I took my first zoom classes with Miss Di in the fall of 2021 and was immediately hooked. I have worked with many professional teachers over the years and Diana has the rare talent, especially when teaching on a video conferencing platform, of being able to teach to a diversified group of students, assisting and encouraging each one at their own level. She has the experience to break technique down in a variety of ways until it “clicks”, while also giving extra ideas to those who are ready for it. Thanks Di for offering online classes, for those near and far, especially during the ongoing COVID restrictions, sharing your expertise, reigniting my love of dance, helping me feel empowered and sexy again. No matter what level of dancer you are, your age, physique, where you live, you are guaranteed to have a blast and leave each class feeling exhilarated and wanting to learn more!

Diana has that "Je ne sais quoi"

She is a true mentor in helping regain confidence and the essence of what it means to be a woman. I have been coached by Miss Di since the age of 10, starting in Ballroom and Latin dance. To be a competitive dancer at such a young age is a challenge, but Diana guided me through it all while teaching me how to integrate similar concepts into my everyday life and business. After leaving the competitive world, Burlesque was the natural next step for me. This is more than dancing... Diana has created a community of SISTERHOOD and SUPPORT!

"Di has been a huge influence over my continued success, not only as a professional ballroom dancer but as an individual."

Miss Di  has been my coach but most importantly a mentor, using her years of experience as a true professional paving the road to success for her students. I find that one of the most important attributes Di has is not only being a teacher but a coach (there’s a difference) all the off the floor work Di does with her students is impeccable. Willing to answer that 2am call when you are freaking out about the un-controllable elements tomorrow’s competition might bring. From mentally preparing you to dance in a crowd of 10 people or a crowd of 1,000 people she will prioritize you no matter the circumstance or hardship. I consider myself extremely lucky to have crossed paths with this extraordinary person and have been coached by her for over 15 years. (I still continue to learn from our 2am phone calls!) Thank you Di, for all the blood, sweat, laughs, and tears we have shared and will continue to share in the future!

"I’ve learned to stand tall, keep my head up and to be proud of what I've accomplished."

When I was in my early 30’s, I discovered burlesque and found that I really enjoyed not only moving to music, but feeling feminine and sexy at the same time. When I moved to Canada from the States, I had to find another burlesque class so I could continue on my sexy journey. I found the Church of Di in 2010 and it was all I needed. Burlesque was my heart! I loved being sexy and dancing with all the different props: boas, chairs, canes, parasols, hats! Not to mention the Sisterhood I’d become a part of! There couldn’t be anything more! Right??

Since the classes were Ballroom and Latin based I started to ask... "What is this Latin dancing anyways?"  I soon started recognizing some of the dance patterns as the patterns we’d used in our Burlesque choreography many times. Hmmmm... interesting. Maybe if I learn Latin... these patterns might become easier? Next thing I knew, I was dabbling in latin and competing with a partner! Ultimately, being a part of the Church of Di and company for over 10 years, I’ve become a part of a community that supports and encourages each other whether it’s about dance or life. The lessons learned on the dance floor extend into our daily lives and serve to make us all better people in the end.
